The Ahola Group verified by DNV in COVID-19 management
Ahola Transport’s work to prevent infections has been verified by the accredited Certification body DNV in accordance with its My Care methodology. The verification, which covers the Group’s management and all its business segments, affirms the Group’s ability to manage and prevent infection risks.
Investments in a safe working environment and staff well-being are important parts of the logistics group Ahola Transport’s sustainability program. Through DNV’s My Care verification, Ahola Transport now gets its infection management work during the pandemic quality-assured and inspected by a third party. The verification covers to the methods and routines for infection prevention that are applied in all of the Group’s business segments.
– The health and safety of our employees, partners and customers is very important to Ahola Transport, even more so during the current pandemic. We want everyone to be able to work safely with us. We are constantly working preventively with work environment and safety issues and have now chosen to be assessed by a third party to ensure the quality of this work in conjunction with the current coronavirus pandemic. Thanks to the staff’s commitment and competence, we have been able to achieve the level that the verification requires. We have also been able to serve our customers basically as normal despite the pandemic, says Hans Ahola, CEO of Ahola Transport.
The Ahola Group’s operations on its various markets are conducted in accordance with current regulations and directives in each country. The Group’s handling of the pandemic is managed by the contingency group, which consists of members of the management. The contingency group coordinates the infection management work in the organization. The staff is continuously informed about current guidelines, working methods and protective gear.
